After the spooktacular Halloween season last year, Pronove Tai and UNICEF will work together again for this year’s Trick-or Treat for UNICEF. In 2014, Pronove Tai distributed trick-or-treat boxes to its business partners, employees and friends. The overwhelming response from this fundraising campaign prompted Pronove Tai to more than double its commitment to UNICEF. For this 2015 Halloween weekend, Pronove Tai distributed around 200 coin boxes to partners for their children to bring around during their trick-or-treating events.
Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF was launched in 2012 following the Kids Helping Kids global campaign that had been running for more than 60 years. The main idea of the campaign is instead of asking for candies and treats during Halloween, children fundraise for Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF to help children in need. The donations collected from trick or treating will help provide lifesaving medicines, clean water, nutrition and education to disadvantaged children in poor and hard to reach communities.
“This is a strong partnership for the sake of disadvantaged children and I hope to sustain this every year. I am personally up to the challenge of helping UNICEF achieve their goals,” says Monique Cornelio-Pronove, CEO of Pronove Tai. “Through the Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF drive, we inculcate a positive attitude in our children towards helping others. They actually become the superheroes they admire. Every little bit of help adds up and children appreciate that they are able to help others.”
Pronove Tai has calls on other companies to engage their own employees and families to help. Building such alliances help the Trick or Treat for UNICEF campaign reach a larger audience.
